HYDEN Ky. (WYMT) - The Leslie County Lady Eagles are next up in our DQ Grill and Chill countdown to tip off series.
The Lady Eagles lost 4 seniors to graduation last year. But, even with the losses this team feels it has improved as they continue to head in to the new season.
"This season, I feel like we are a little bit more athletic. I feel like we have more weapons offensively" said head coach Mark Collett. "And I can already see that in practices right now. I think we have kids that are stepping up and are going to fill those roles defensively too. And so we can be really good on both sides of the basketball."
"Everyone is quick and athletic. We can get the ball up the floor quick. And everyone can just contribute", said senior guard Victoria Boggs.
"I think we are quicker this year offensively", said senior guard Tori McIntosh. "We have a lot more offensive players where as last year was just more defensive."
"We know what we need to improve on, and we know what we need to work on", said senior guard Kacey Stidham. "And if we improve on all those little things then the big things will come."
