ARDMORE, Pa. The pairings for tomorrow's first round of the US Open is pretty impressive. In one group you have the top three players in the world; Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Adam Scott.
Those three could be considered the "Big 3" of the PGA Tour, but how would they compare to the big three of the NBA's Miami Heat; Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh? McIlroy was asked that question at his news conference on Tuesday.
"Well in Game One it was a par twosome because (Chris) Bosh didn't do much. I'm not sure. I guess those guys have the luxury of playing off one another. They can kind of help each other out where we're out here doing our own thing trying to beat one another, so it's a little bit different. It's nice. Again, to pair the top three ranked players in the world is a cool idea and I'm just happy to be a part of it."
