Posted: 12/02/2013 - The University of Kentucky volleyball program was selected to its school-record ninth-consecutive NCAA Tournament and claimed the No. 15 national seed it was announced Sunday. UK will host the First and Second Rounds of the tournament in Memorial Coliseum on Friday and Saturday. Additionally, UK will have the opportunity to remain at home all the way to the Final Four as Lexington has already been established as an NCAA Regional site Dec. 13-14.

With each active player seeing multiple minutes, the Patriot ladies showed the nation once again what it means to possess a balanced attack on each end of the floor. With the win, the Patriots now move to 2-3 on the season.

The Patriots went a perfect 10-0 in the regular season and finished ranked number 1 in the nation. After an impressive 56-28 victory in their first round matchup against St. Ambrose, UC looked to make history and advance to the semifinals of the NAIA FCS for the first time in school history. It wouldn’t be easy though as they took on a very good St. Francis team, looking to beat the Patriots for the second time in the NAIA FCS quarterfinals.
