People and their stories fascinate me. Telling the ongoing stories of communities is my passion.

People and their stories fascinate me. Telling the ongoing stories of communities is my passion.

I came to WYMT after graduating from Western Kentucky University with a double major in Broadcasting and Spanish and a minor in economics. While I was a student at WKU, I got involved in nearly every aspect of student media. In addition to reporting for the university’s student newscast, I also reported for the campus radio station and newspaper.

My interviews have included John Seigenthaler, former weekend anchor of the NBC Nightly News, Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream fame, and public radio host Garrison Keilor.

Before I came to WYMT, I interned in the Web Department at WMAQ-TV in Chicago. I also served as an intern at WFIE-TV in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana.

While at WKU, I also competed on the university’s national champion speech and debate team. While on the team, I won Kentucky state championships in Parliamentary Debate, Editorial Impromptu Speaking, and Broadcast Announcing.

I’m excited to begin a new step in my life in the beautiful mountains of Eastern Kentucky. I’m always looking for a story. If you have something you’d like me to check out, send me an email or message me on Facebook. I’d love to hear from you.
