LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A recall has been issued for over 215,000
pounds of "Hot Pockets Pepperoni Pizza" made at an Eastern
Kentucky plant.
Nestle Prepared Foods Co. issued the recall on Thursday after
receiving complaints from consumers about foreign products inside
the stuffed sandwiches. The recalled items were sold in 54-ounce,
12-pack cartons and produced on June 5 at the company's plant in
Mt. Sterling, Ky.
The recalled products have the following printed on the sides of
each carton: "8157544614D," "EST 7721A" and "BEST BEFORE
JAN2010." The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and
Inspection Service says each carton bears the USDA mark of
inspection.
