Another forest fire threatens homes in Perry County Sunday night.
Forestry officials say the fire started around 8:30pm Sunday night in the Walkertown area of Hazard.
It started in a small, contained area and eventually spread into a large ring, close to some homes. For one neighbor, the scene is all too familiar.
"I lost two homes back a couple of years ago, so we are concerned. that's why we're up," says Carolina Edwards of Hazard.
With no roads leading to the flames, forestry officials were forced to hike up the mountain to get to the fire.
