You may call all those credit card applications and ads you get in the mail junk, but the United States Post Office says that isn't the case.

Postal workers say during the Christmas season the United States Post Office will make about 58-million dollars, and nearly half of that revenue will come from bulk business mail.

But if you just can't stand all the mailbox clutter they say you can just send it back.

“They tear the item off and say ‘please do not send that to me’ and the stick it in the return business reply envelope and the customer pays 78 cents to get it back,” says Post Master Ray Lackey.

It's so sad that the P.O.now caters to the junk mailers giving them huge discounts and charging the everyday consumer the high rates. As employees we don't even get a discount. USPS no longer cares aboiut the service all they care about is the money. Write your congressmen and complain. Get your friends to write and complain. USPS is supposed to be a universal service to all and yes each person, company, mailer should have to pay the same price-universal pricing!!!

I think the tax payers need to petition to eliminate the U.S Postal service. We live in a capitalist society so let UPS/Fedx and other's compete instead of government waste jobs.
