A county attorney says he's left with no choice, but to get tough.
Prosecutor Clay Bishop says more than 550 parents in Clay County refuse to pay child support.
Now Bishop is revisiting a 20-year-old amnesty program he started to give overdue parents one last chance to pay up before sending them to jail.
"We can enter into a pay agreement," says Bishop.
"If they ignore us, we issue a warrant of arrest and we have them placed in jail. I will then request that the judge set a bond not less than the amount that is owed."
Bishop says 95 percent of non-supporters in Clay County are men. He says a growing number of grandparents are also raising kids with no support.
