One Dead, One Taken To Hospital After Accident In Whitley County Save Email Print

Police in Whitley County continue to investigate the scene of a deadly accident.

Police say it happened just after 5:30am Wednesday evening along Kentucky 6, just south of Corbin, when 44-year old Randell Mayne crossed the center line, hitting another vehicle head on.

63-year-old Alton Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. 63-year-old Doreen Wilson was also in the car and was taken to the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

Mayne is charged with second degree manslaughter and DUI.

He is being held in the Whitley County Detention Center.
