It was a frightening morning for a group of Wolfe County students after their bus is hit on the way to school.

A spokesman for the school district says a bus full of students collided with a 2000 Dodge Neon on Profitt Fork Road off KY-15 near Campton.

One student was injured and had to be taken to the hospital to be checked out. The other students were picked up by another school bus and taken to school to be evaluated. No one was seriously hurt.

Kentucky State Police says the driver of the car involved in the crash was 18-year-old John Turner of Campton. Police also tell WYMT that the wet and narrow roadway may have contributed to the crash.

The incident is still under investigation by KSP.
