FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Senate President David Williams has filed
a lawsuit against Gov. Steve Beshear claiming his veto of $3.8
billion worth of road projects was improper.

Williams claims in the lawsuit filed Friday that the veto was
issued too late to be effective. Williams also is asking a judge to
rule on whether Beshear has authority to spend state road money not
specifically appropriated by lawmakers.

Beshear vetoed a two-year transportation spending bill last
month. He said the legislation would have hampered his
administration's ability to adequately manage road projects in the
state.

Beshear said his administration would follow an alternate
transportation spending plan that would be compiled within the
coming months.

Beshear spokesman Dick Brown says the administration has not yet
received a copy of the lawsuit and had not had a chance to review
it.

I think David Williams is too power hungry. It is time he was booted out of office. If he cant understand fiscal responsibility, he doesnt need to be in public office. I am so sick and tired of hearing him whine and cry like a baby, filing lawsuits, helping criminals evade the law(like trying to help the Whites in Clay County). When will the people of Burkesville wake up and realize this man is a crook and not out to help them????

David Williams is just crying like a big baby. he is upset because the projects he has promised people in his own community. If David Williams wants to run the state then he needs to run for governor. Oh, i forgot, noboby likes him.

I say we see how many indictments we can get against Beshear at one time. They seemed to enjoy this when Fletcher took office.
