A Southern Kentucky water park plans to be back open for the holiday Friday.

Somer-Splash in Pulaski County shutdown Thursday afternoon after a scare sent five people to the hospital. Emergency crews were called to the park after several swimmers complained of skin irritations. Firefighters tell us they believe too much chlorine was in the water. The people taken to the hospital are expected to be ok.

The park closed so workers could reduce the chlorine levels. Somer-Splash will reopen Friday on a normal schedule.
