An Eastern Kentucky man is dead after an early morning accident.

State police say 24 year old Jason Juarez of Closplint was driving on Highway 38 in Harlan County when his tire dropped off the side of the road. They say Juarez overcorrected and lost control of the car, went over an embankment and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Harlan County Coroner Phillip Bianchi.

Police say Juarez was not wearing a seatbelt.

I really hate to hear this. Me and Jason were good friends in high school. He was a very sweet person and could always make you laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, prayers to his family and I will never forget you Jason.
