Officials in one eastern Kentucky county say they are ready to tell the world they have the answer to the country's energy crisis.
Pike County officials say they are excited to release their findings from a year long coal to liquid fuel study.
There's a news conference Monday and officials say they hope this is the first step towards stabilizing the coal industry and the local economy.
“Coal business will level off and they will get long-term contracts and instead of watching these trains go out of here we will have some trains coming in,” Pike County Judge Executive Wayne T. Rutherford said.
Rutherford says the study will also show where a possible energy plant will be.
