One Eastern Kentucky church is helping some recovering drug addicts with their transition back into society.

The John Rice Center in Manchester has three bedrooms and a fully stocked kitchen.

Ken Bolin with Manchester Baptist Church says the center will work with drug rehabilitation centers to provide recovering addicts a two week stay while they find work and a home.

"Now that they've got something, got some success under their belts and they've got some maturity going for them, we want to offer a place for these people who have lost all that to get it back," Bolin said.

During the two weeks, the recovering addicts will begin their job search at nine each morning and they will attend meetings at night.
