Several people in Laurel County are now in jail after a fight that ended with shots fired.

It happened about 10:30pm Thursday night on Moren road in London. Police say they responded to a report of gunshots at a home on the street. When they got there, they were told that Vernon Elmer of London had allegedly stolen some money from another man at the house, David Hampton of London, and left. Police say when Hampton found out Elmer had stolen the money, he grabbed a rifle and waited for Elmer to return, firing a shot when he did. Officers also found evidence of drug trafficking at the house and arrested Elmer and Hampton, along with Lenora Root, also of London.

The three are facing multiple charges.
