Jail officials in two eastern Kentucky counties are being sued.

The lawsuits claim two inmates didn't get the medical help they needed despite repeated pleas to be taken to a hospital.

The Lexington Herald reports the alleged negligence led to the death of an inmate in Pike County and permanent injuries to another in Letcher County.

This happens all the time(with most of it unreported). Someone needs to be held accountable here as well as in all the other jails.
