It's an alarming sight in a Pulaski County lake, but local officials say the large number of dead fish is nothing to worry about.

There are dozens, perhaps hundreds, of dead fish in a lake just north of Somerset on Pumphouse Road.

The lake used to be a reservoir for the city of Somerset. Now it's on private land.

The Pulaski County Public Safety Director says the recent dry weather caused the fish kill.

Officials say there's no threat to public safety or health.
