There were some scary moments for one eastern Kentucky man after a small fire at a gas well.

Officials with Magoffin County dispatch tell us they received the call from the Mash Fork area.

A man, whose name has not been released, was near the gas well when a fire broke out.

He was taken to Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville for treatment of first degree burns.

Officials say the fire was quickly contained.
