Kentucky's Attorney General Investigating Gas Prices
Jack Conway’s office has confirmed that its probe of gas prices originally just in Louisville has now been expanded statewide.

Some gas stations are under the watchful eye of the Kentucky Attorney General's Office.
Jack Conway’s office has confirmed that its probe of gas prices originally just in Louisville has now been expanded statewide.
The wider probe comes after a sudden spike in gas prices yesterday across parts of Kentucky as Hurricane Ike approached the Gulf Coast.
The prices went up at numerous locations even though crude prices dropped.
The Attorney General's Office sent out nine subpoenas requesting information into the wholesale prices of gas in both the Louisville and state markets.
Those companies have 27 days left to respond.

Today I stopped for gas at Speedway in Maysville, filled up @ 3.579, got to Lexington, it was 3.239, got home it was 3.419. How can it be so much difference if other than gouging?

I think our Attorney General & other elected official's are a joke, they are alway's saying they are going to fine big oil, but then they do nothing. they say they have to give them so many day's to respond to the price gouging alligations, the time run's out, then we never hear anymore about it. Our Ky. Government is a joke.

Today at the Kroger in Corbin gas was 4.49 a gallon for regular. This is price gouging. Some of the other stations were priced at 4.29 a gallon.
