The ATV's started lining up in Crockettsville early Sunday morning.

Even though they did not break a world record for longest ATV parade, event organizers were pleased with the turnout.

The trail was about 28 miles long, and people came from all over Kentucky and even as far away as Canada to see the beauty of the region.

“We have a lot of people here with us, and they're loving it. They say nowhere in the United States would they be treated the way they've been treated here,” says Janet Smith, Chairman of Hazard-Perry County Tourism.

“You get to get out and see the woods and nature. Most people my age couldn't walk up in them mountains,” says Ronald Walker of Lawrenceburg.

Several officials and celebrities participated in the trail ride, including former Moto-cross star Ricky Carmichael and of course, Halfway to Hazard.

Har;an County (as far as i know) still holds the Largest ATV Parade... Currently, the Harlan County Ridge Runners in Evarts, Kentucky hold the record for the longest ATV Parade. The Ridge Runners set the record of 1,138 ATVs in a parade in the summer of 2006, surpassing the old record of 687 set in Hurley, Wisconsin.
