The two candidates for the race for U.S. Senate in Kentucky are in a statistical dead heat.

With just one month away before Kentuckians head for the polls, both men are campaigning across the state.

Republican Incumbent Mitch McConnell made a campaign stop at the annual Apple Festival in Johnson County. Democratic Challenger Bruce Lunsford campaigned in Spencer County near Louisville. Both campaigns are gearing up for the stretch run of the campaign.

The Lunsford campaign moved to Louisville Saturday night while the McConnell campaign moved to Georgetown in Central Kentucky.
