A state trooper from Claiborne County, Tennessee resigns after reports of being brought up on charges.

The Middlesboro Daily News reports highway patrolwoman Charlene Green stepped down last week after allegations of gross misconduct and conduct unbecoming of an officer. The allegations include possible criminal violations.

THP officials say they are recommending Green not be allowed to work as a state employee anywhere in Tennessee and that she be de-certified as a law enforcement official.
