JOHNSON COUNTY – An early morning rockfall has closed KY 321 in Johnson County, according to officials at Highway District 12 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Darold Slone, Branch Manager for Project Delivery and Preservation, said a crew is already on the scene. “We are assessing the situation and will begin debris removal immediately,” he said. “It is likely that the road will be closed for some time because we will have to use a large drill to break up the large rocks into pieces small enough move.”

Slone said the road is closed at mile marker 2, which is near the American Standard plant. Motorists should choose another route until an announcement is made that the road is once again open to traffic.
