An investigation is underway after two children are found unattended in a London hotel.

Police were called to the London Days Inn after a hotel employee found a three-year-old girl walking alone toward a swimming pool fence. Her seven-year-old brother was found alone in the hotel room.

Their grandfather, 52 year old Doyle John Cook Junior, first told police he only left the children alone while he went out for breakfast, but later admitted driving to Mount Vernon to meet friends.

Cook is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
