A family argument turned violent Wednesday night, now a man is charged with killing his uncle.

Police in Laurel County were called to a home on KY 1376 near East Bernstadt just after seven.

When they arrived, they found Ed Eversole dead from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police Eversole and his nephew, Kenneth Begley, Jr. had been in an argument all day long and it eventually ended in gunfire.

Begly is charged with murder, he's being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Let's see, first the grandfather left his 3 year old granddaughter and his 7 year old grandson at a hotel while he visited friends in Mt. Vernon. Now a fine looking specimen of a person shot and killed his uncle. Yep, Laurel County is catching up to Magoffin County as the armpit or the word that ends in "hole" of KY. And we wonder why people who don't live here think KY has nothing but a bunch of backward rednecks.
