A Letcher County couple falls victim to three scammers who promised to lightning proof their home.
It happened Monday on Elk Creek Road in Blackey.
State police say the victim agreed to pay $14 for the service, but the suspects raised the price $900 once they said the job was finished.
"If you're hesitant about it, usually that's a clue that something is not right here and ask them give some references," said Trooper Tony Watts.
Police say that way, you can find out if what they're offering is legit.
The suspects are between 20-30 years old and were in a red, 80's model Chevrolet truck.
Call police if you know anything that may help in the investigation.
