Plans for an ethanol plant in Pike County are moving forward.

Officials with the company Agresti Biofuels say they reached a contract agreement with Pike County leaders.

They hope to sign the deal later this month.

The proposed Central Appalachian Ethanol plant will turn garbage into ethanol and other recycled products.

The plant will employ 120 people when it is built and running.
