A mining company with operations in Knott County faces citations after a complaint leads inspectors to drugs at the work site.

A mining company with operations in Knott County faces citations after a complaint leads inspectors to drugs at the work site.
Mine Safety and Licensing officials temporarily closed the Marshall 12-A Mine in Pippa Passes last week where inspectors say they found marijuana, cigarette butts, and a bag of pills.
State police are working to identify the pills and officials say more disciplinary action is possible against Marshall Mining, Incorporated.
The mine is now back open.

I'm sorry to that you cannot spell. Did you finish high school? If so, how? Local people are not the only ones reading these comments. That kind of spelling just brings up the image of a dumb hillbilly, standing with a corncob pipe, ragged overalls, greasy hair, and trying to talk with this severely hick sound coming out and everyone else wanting to laugh. If you are referring to a union-free miner being a scab, well I am sure that a union-free miner is much better off than someone that is held to a union contract. Definitly better job security, more raises, more bonus', better conditions because everyone helps others to get the job done instead of saying "that's not my job duties". Sad!!

Just a guessing I would say that sum one was fired or got mad at the boss or owner an ratted them out to pay them back thats what you call a scabb minner an Id say if they look a little closer they would find a block of cheese> By the way they dont do drugs in the coal mines thats just like sayin they ant no coal dust common people search them an random test these minners if thier under the influence. sorry that i cant spell you an I know if they test ever one rite now that they wont have enuff to build a fire they really need to check the state inspectors plus feds
