Numerous Drug Arrests
Harlan Police, Operation UNITE and the K-9 unit from the Harlan County Sheriff's Department arrested many of the suspects during a round-up.

In Harlan County, more than 20 people are indicted on drug charges.

Harlan Police, Operation UNITE and the K-9 unit from the Harlan County Sheriff's Department arrested many of the suspects during a round-up.

Police say more arrests are pending.

Chris Howard, 33 of Kenvir was arrested on charged with Trafficking of a Controlled Substance 2nd. When officers served the warrant additional charges were added. He was also charged with an additional charge of Trafficking of a Controlled Substance 2nd, Public Intoxication, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
The rest of indictments are as follows:

Royal Bargo, 18 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence.

Kevin Farley, 48 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a school and Persistent Felony Offender.

Chris Sizemore, 28 Bledsoe charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offence.

Kelvin Greer, 48 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a school.

Steve Shepherd, 39 Harlan charged with 2 counts each of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st and Persistent Felony Offender 1st.

Wendy Inman, 28 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a school and Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd.

Ronnie Thornbury, 35 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence.

Timothy Rasberry, 40 of Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd degree 1st offence and Persistent Felony Offender.

Patrick Myers, 26 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd degree.

Clarence Majors III, 24 Baxter charged with 3 counts each of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st and Persistent Felony Offender 1st.

Christopher Maiden, 26 Dayhoit charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence.

Ed Morton, 58 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence.

Floyd Mitchell, 32 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence.

Matthew Ditty, 29 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence and Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd degree 1st offence.

Dewayne Harris, 23 Harlan charged with 2 counts Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence and Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd degree.

Gary Helton, 52 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 2nd degree.

Indictments were served on the following prior to today:

Michael Clay, Middlesboro charged with 2 counts of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

David Cook and James Stallings both from Michigan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree.

Twilla Latham, 38 Harlan charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st degree.

I Thank God we have a Sheriff who loves his county and the people in it. Marvin is the best sheriff we have ever had. I hope other counties see what we have.

Marvin has done more work getting drug dealers in one year then any outher be for him thats been in office for 8 years im proud of him your the best Marvin J.
