A fallen tree damages two homes and blocks a main road for hours in one Harlan County community.
Neighbors say the tree that fell on Main Street in Lynch was more than 100 years old. Tree branches put a hole in one family's roof and broke at least three windows on a second home.
"My mom said a tree fell on our house and I was getting worried," says Chandler Funk.
"I heard this loud crash and it kinda shook the house just a little bit. And I thought there was a car come through my house. I just got her and ran out the back door and I looked and i saw this humongous tree," says Ashley Branson.
Highway crews cut the tree into smaller pieces to haul away one truck load at a time. The roadway is now open.
