A man had to be rescued after he was trapped in a well.
It happened on Eddie Adams Road, about six miles north of Salyersville.
Rescue officials says Ricky Allen and his nephew were cleaning out a well with a gasoline water pump when they were apparently overcome by carbon monoxide fumes.
The nephew was able to get out of the well but Allen was not.
A rescue squad member was lowered into the well with oxygen and Allen was pulled out.
Officials say Allen was unconscious and taken to a hospital.
His condition is not known.
His nephew was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
His name was not released because he's a juvenile.
We'll have more on this story as it becomes available.
