Officials are still adding up flood damage costs to roads, bridges, water lines and schools, but it is already in the millions of dollars.
Now the groups are starting to get public assistance help from FEMA.
Pike County school officials say early estimates indicate it will take more than one million dollars to repair Belfry Middle School.
At Johns Creek Elementary, costs are already to one and a half million dollars.
Pike County schools superintendent Roger Wagner says he hopes the school system can be eligible for some support from FEMA.
Wagner joined dozens of other city and county agencies asking for FEMA public assistance.
Local officials started applying after meeting with FEMA representatives Friday afternoon.
Mountain Water district's manager say they are still adding up damage costs to water lines and pump stations, but it is already several hundred thousands of dollars.
They already made temporary repairs to get the water back on, but say they need FEMA help for permanent repairs.
FEMA can also help with road and bridge repairs and will evaluate other requests. Local leaders know it will take a long time to get everything fixed.
The FEMA disaster recovery centers in Pike, Floyd, Breathitt, and Owsley counties will also be open tomorrow to answer any of your questions.

Hope Pike Co. will spend some of these funds on DREDGING our creeks, streams and rivers. Should have been done long ago. If not, the next flood will be much worse.
