State Senator Brandon Smith visited the Bulan community in Perry County Monday afternoon. He says he has never seen a flood this bad in the area.

"In my lifetime, being from here, i've never seen, especially this part up here. We've had some water before in the past, but I don't believe i've ever seen it this bad" Smith says.

Smith drove down from Frankfort Monday afternoon and returned to the Capitol late Monday evening. Smith also thanked the local officials and crews that helped rescue people Monday morning.
