Church groups from across the state rallied in the State Capitol Tuesday with one purpose, to voice their concerns about the Governor's expanded gambling proposal.

Dozens of members of the Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro boarded a bus early this morning for Frankfort with ready to make one message clear, they don't think slot machines at racetracks is the right solution for Kentucky.

Kentucky governor Steve Beshear says Kentucky's horseracing industry is in trouble, and he proposed allowing slot machines at racetracks to generate more revenue. While the idea has many supporters ... many churches think it's a bad idea.

Reverend Boyd Bingham, the pastor of Binghamtown Baptist Church, fears the legislation that would allow more gambling at racetracks, would clear a path to more gambling across the state.

Bingham fears in tough economic times, gambling may become an even more attractive option for people struggling.

The church is hoping lawmakers will hear that message loud and clear across the state.

Rev. Bingham says despite Attorney General Jack Conway declaring the measure constitutional. other attorney general's have said it wasn't.

Bingham says if this passes, there will be a legal fight ahead.
