A family mourns the loss of a man killed in a fiery crash on the Hal Rogers Parkway.
We now know the names of the two people killed Monday in the head-on crash involving a pick-up truck and a tractor trailer.

39 year old Richard Napier of Manchester was driving the pick-up truck that police say crossed the center line, and hit a rig, driven by 48 year old Jimmie Baker of Bulan in Perry County, head-on.

Baker’s wife Sherry says she'll never understand the loss of her husband She says 48 year old jimmie baker died doing what he loved.

His father and papaw's truck still sits in their front yard, a one time a family business.

His ten year old son Matthew, born on his father's birthday, also shares his father’s love of trucks.
Sherry Baker says it's the love of her son that's getting her through.

She says her 11 years of marriage will always be the best of her life. she says if she could see him again one last time, she'd tell him that she loves him and wants him to come back home.

She says now all she can hold on too are the happy memories they made together.

Mr. Baker's funeral is being held Thursday at 1 o'clock at Maggard's Mountain View Chapel in Hazard.

Family members say those in the community can come to pay their respects starting at 10 Thursday morning.

I got a phone call the evening of this tragedy. I didn't know Jimmy, but I sure knew 2 of his children, Danny and Michelle and 4 of his grandchildren. These families loved their Daddy and Pappaw very much. Jimmy's former wife, Darlene (Mother of Danny and Michelle) is my step sister. We all suffer a great loss. When traveling to and from the mountains I would often pass Jimmy in his tanker truck on the road. On behalf of my family we extend our deepest sympathy, thoughts and many prayers to the Baker family. The same goes to the Napier family. God wanted to take these men home as He has bigger plans in Heaven for them. May God bless each one of you now and always...
