Two longtime eastern Kentucky officials accused of vote buying plead not guilty.
Former three-term Perry County Judge Executive Sherman Neace, and former state representative and Perry County Circuit Court Clerk Chester Jones, were both arraigned in U.S. District Court in London Wednesday afternoon.
Both Neace and Jones are charged with using thousands of dollars from the state democratic party to buy votes in political races last fall. Both men are free on certain conditions, and due back in federal court August 7th.

I think what Mr. Jones did (by his own admission) is immoral, but the question is was it illeagle? Here's how it will play out. The FBI will, as Mr Jones pointed out, offer him a deal to get a "winning" conviction on their bean-counting statistical side. The court will have to rule for once and for all, that "hiring" people to haul voters (at least in the traditional way it has been done), is and should be against the law. If/when a "voter's bus" or such is implemented, it will/should be provided at taxpayer's expense, not a particular party's(or cantidate's) expense. Personally, people should find their own way to the polls, and quit relying on government for everything all of the time. There will be some exceptions, of course, such as injured vets in a VA facility. We at least owe them that much...and much more.

What a democrat buying votes??Why don't arrest the thousands on fed SSI for selling thier vote for cash.Same difference.
