Police say the stash confiscated at Nick Parker's house contained 40 bottles of liquor and more than 2,100 cans of beer. He's now charged with selling alcohol in a dry territory. But he's not the only one. At least 4 others are facing similar charges..from 3 raids in one week. But they say Parker had the largest operation.

“He made the comment, I do have the coldest beer in Whitley County,” said officer Shawn Jackson.

Police say their investigation began when parents came to them complaining about their kids getting beer with the kids' alibi being they 'got it from the bootlegger.'

But people who know Parker say that's not the man they know.

“It’s a surprise to me. I've never known him to sell to underage minors or anything like that,” said neighbor Scott Kirklin.

Police say they've had reports of kids as young as 16 buying beer from bootleggers.

“With them being new drivers, that makes for a potentially dangerous situation,” said officer Jackson.
