You won't find the Ten Commandments in the Jackson County courthouse any longer...
but you will find it all throughout the county.

After a lawsuit was filed from Eugene Phillips of Jackson County and the A-C-L-U, county leaders decided to remove the Ten Commandments from the courthouse.

This lawsuit is sparking a revival in the small community.

More than one thousand folks gathered in downtown McKee next to the Jackson County courthouse.

The message was clear.

"You have challenged something precious..the Ten Commandments...you have awakened a giant that will rise up, we will overcome!" Shouted one speaker.

Several local church leaders talked at the event.

While the commandments can no longer be in the courthouse, they are close on private property.

The commandments sit in Tony Boggs' front yard.

"We'd be honored. we support the Ten Commandments and the values they stand for...It was an honor for us to do it," said Boggs.

Jim Muncy organized this event and says he is more than pleased with the aftermath of the lawsuit.

"This is the greatest accomplishment in my life...to see how people respond to the call..to stand up for God's word. We still believe in it. We still honor it," said Muncy.

And people can honor it looking from the courthouse.

In response to the lawsuit, the Ten Commandments are now in Jackson County schools.

All across the county there are Ten Commandments yard signs on display along with licence plates.

Congratulations and way to go Jackson County. God will bless and honor you all for standing up for what is right. I am glad to hear that they are in the schools as well. That is really cool.
