After strong objection, the city of Lynch will not charge volunteers a $20 fee for providing service within city limits.

The Harlan Daily Enterprise reports the Lynch City Council decided to do away with the proposed ordinance that would have put restrictions on volunteer work.

Lynch Mayor Bob Collier originally supported the ordinance, but says after much consideration the ordinance will not become law.
