A Pike County man is in jail after police say he kidnapped his wife and children.
Police say 23 year old James T. Key forced his wife and children into a van yesterday and then drove them to school and picked up another child.
Key's wife told police he was taking them to Falmouth, Kentucky against their will, and they feared for their safety.
Police caught him in Elkhorn City and charged him with two counts of kidnapping.
The judge set his bond at $30,000 full cash.
“Anytime you have charges of kidnapping, it goes without saying, the seriousness of that nature and the concern that law enforcement would have in that situation,” Tommy Chambers said.
Key pleaded not guilty.
A hearing is scheduled for September 24th.
