Kentucky will receive $400,000 grant
Kentucky will receive nearly $400,000 from the federal government as part of a program to make repairs and improvements to rural housing.

Kentucky will receive nearly $400,000 from the federal government as part of a program to make repairs and improvements to rural housing.
The funds are being awarded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Housing Preservation Grant program.
In Muhlenberg County, the City of Powderly will receive $77,000.
The Purchase Area Housing Corp., a nonprofit serving eight counties in southwestern Kentucky, will receive $147,650.
The LKLP Community Action Council, a nonprofit that serves four southeastern Kentucky counties, will receive $60,000.
The Pennyrile Housing Corp., a nonprofit that serves nine western Kentucky counties, will receive $104,814.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the grants in a news release Friday.
