They say thieves managed to steal thousands of dollars of equipment from four sanctuaries in Bell County, and now several people are facing charges.

Police believe the break-ins happened back on September 20th and 21st. They have arrested two teenagers and a juvenile, and are now looking for a fourth person they believe was involved.

Judy Taylor says even though she heard about break-ins at several other Bell County churches, she had hoped her church was spared.

"I saw the pulpit, and I just turned my back and cried, I said 'oh no, they did, they took our church too,'" says Judy Taylor, the wife of the pastor of Blue Ridge Baptist Church.

Thieves busted through this door at Blue Ridge Baptist, and took speakers, mics, and a money box full of cash.

Fifteen hundred dollars of equipment, including several mics, guitars and an amp were stolen from Ferndale Missionary Baptist.

"It's bad enough when they break into houses, but a sanctuary, God's house, it's just pitiful," says pastor Clarence Mason.

Old Cannon Creek Missionary Baptist Church and Calvin Primitive Baptist Church were also targeted.

Police were able to recover several of the stolen items at a Claiborne County, Tennessee pawn shop. They will be able to return the merchandise to the churches by the end of the month.

Police arrested 18 year old Christian Partin, 19 year old Sherri Green, and a juvenile. They also have a warrant to arrest Ryan Miracle, who police believe is from the Page area of Bell County.

"And all the ones they broke into that night, it's just so sad. I just want to cry, it hurts, it hurts bad," says Taylor.

But the congregations say they are pulling together, and trying to move on as best they can. They are also stepping up security at their sanctuaries to guard themselves for the future.

To everyone concerned, I have seen first hand and experienced the same feelings that Mrs.Taylor described,I experienced the destruction and theft of our church a few years ago and as I walked in and seen the Alter trashed, door busted and other areas vandalized,I believe every emotion a person has tries to come out, for me it was shock, sorrow then anger and at that moment ,I would have liked to have laid my hands on the vandals and dished out some old fashioned backside beltdusting and as I sat there I knew all I could do was pray for those that dont have any respect for the Lords house,I know that Mrs.Taylor and BlueRidge have prayed and continue to pray for the ones arrested for these crimes,God knows the very intent of our hearts and I know if there is a church anywhere that doesnt "Put on a SHOW" its BlueRidge, they would be the first ones to help these four people in any way they could and It would be from their Hearts and not their Lips.

Kennessa,Donna and Judy, I have had my house broken into and have been robbed.Yes I was angry and I did find out who did it no I didn't get my stuff back and I DO FORGIVE THEM!!Even though I have nothing to do with them.I am not saying that ALL the members or attendies feel the same way. But it WAS the Pastors wife who said qoute "that it was unforgivable". Yes at the time they probably could have cared less, but some jail time and for them to be made to come to your church and repair any damage will make them think.then your church could show the the love of Jesus and what forgivness is and your right Judy some will never change not up to their death .. Some kids no matter how they are raise get into trouble it is not always the parents fault! Donna I made her sound as she came off "it is unforgivable " quote her words not mine maybe she should have chose better words some people are not good public speakers.I am sure she is a good person maybe she just misspoke.
