A Claiborne County man was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Thursday evening after he was shot during a dispute.

Claiborne County authorities say that it happened around 7:00 p.m. on Regent Drive near Bristol Avenue in Harrogate. Two neighbors were apparently arguing over some sort of land dispute when one of the men shot the other.

The suspect stayed on the scene and was taken into custody by the Claiborne County Sheriff's deputies and driven to the justice center in Tazewell for questioning.

The case was still under investigation late Thursday night.

Officials had also not released the name of the suspect or the victim. The victim's condition had also not been released.
