A misdemeanor charge against a Salyersville city councilman is dismissed.

The Lexington Herald reports Jeff Ross was accused of threatening a city employee.

The charge was dismissed on condition that Ross complies with the law in the future.

City worker Larry "Bubby" Carpenter Junior said Ross threatened to smash him like a bug during an argument about whether city employees and vehicles were being used at Mayor Stanley Howard's personal property at Cave Run Lake.
