Due to an increase in flu cases in Pike County, Pikeville Medical Center is opening a new 24-hour "flu clinic."

The clinic will open on Monday in the former screening center building on North Mayo Trail.

The facility will be fully staffed around the clock with doctors and nurses, and it will offer complete testing, x-ray, and lab services.

Officials think moving flu patients to another location will keep the virus from spreading to other patients in the hospital.
