WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (AP) - There will be a new monument in eastern Kentucky to honor women who have served in the military.

The Morgan County Woman's Club says the monument will be unveiled during a veteran's day ceremony Saturday morning in West Liberty. The group commissioned the monument last year to promote women's history.

The club says the sculptor, Stephen Tirone, created three life-size bronze figures depicting military women of the past, present and future. The figures will stand on a granite base inscribed with the names of the branches of the armed forces.
