If you work at the University of Kentucky or are a student, you'll soon will be able to receive the H1N1 vaccine.

University health officials say they'll offer a walk-in clinic to anyone in the campus community on Thursday.

The Fayette County Health Department has already held several mass H1N1 vaccination clinics for the public.

The health department has now given UK 2,000 nasal mist vaccines, but no shots.

University health officials are stressing the importance of getting vaccinated, stating with the nasal mist spray, the small dose of the live virus can actually provide herd immunity.

The clinic will be held at the University Health Services building on South Limestone, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Thursday.

Some students like Natalie Gaither say they will likely take advantage of the opportunity, but other students weren't so sure. Some expressed concern of the vaccination's side effects. For UK student Corey King, he says he just doesn't feel he's at risk of getting the H1N1 virus.

Actually that doctor is right. The H1N1 is just a media frenzy to get people off the topics of the new president and the economy. The swine flu has been around since at least the 70s and nobody cared then. It is a virus like any other virus. Virus' cannot be cured you can only treat the symptoms. As long as you take the same precautions as you would with the normal flu (or any other of the deadly virus' that exist out there) then you will be fine. Also, nearly all of the deaths before the US happened to Mexicans who never got medical attention. Most of them here happen when people have other conditions or the flu weakens their immune system and something else kills them. Yeah, its a dangerous thing and nothing you want, but you've got a better chance of dying in a car accident today than you do dying from H1N1, so why worry?

What you heard is just from one doctor in Lexington, KY. The decision on H1N1 has been maded by a group of well-respected, worldly known, and well-educated doctors who specialize on this particular virus. Look at their credentials. Who would you believe?

My sister took her kids to a doctor and that doctor told her that people are making way too much out of this H1N1 thing. That they are paniccing over nothing. That it is nothing more than just something to get people to complain about. Is this doctor right or wrong?
