School bus, SUV crash in Laurel County
Police say the man who caused the accident had 2 previous DUI's..although they don't have any evidence he was under the influence this time. Any further charges relating to that will be up to lab test results.

A total of 10 children were taken to two hospitals the result of the accident. The driver of the SUV that police say caused the accident was airlifted to UK with some serious injuries. And according to police, he shouldn’t have been driving in the first place.
Just after 8:30 Thursday morning, students were on their way to choir practice at London’s First Baptist Church. Police say bus driver Angela Calvert, with 14 children in tow, looked up to see an SUV coming towards her.
“The bus driver tried to avoid the accident the best she could. Applied her brakes. Honked her horn, tried to get his attention, when he crossed the center line,’ said London Police Sgt. Matthew Moore.
But it didn’t work and police say 48 year old Jeffrey House kept coming and plowed into the bus.
“And I know he came into the curve, by witness statements and bus driver statements, he entered the curve, never negotiated the curve, went straight through,” said Sgt. Moore.
Eight children, Calvert, and another adult were taken to London’s St. Joseph and Baptist Regional hospitals, for mostly bumps and bruises.
“They were actually very strong. They kept their cool. Really doing well at the hospital,” said Moore.
But Jeffrey House was airlifted to UK hospital. And when he’s released, police say he will likely be arrested.
“Because of the suspended license, have to speak with the commonwealth attorney, but I’m sure we will probably place wanton endangerment charges on him,” said Moore.

First of all, I just want to praise God that those children on that school bus did not get hurt. I also want to thank God for that bus driver. It must have been the hand of God in that saved everybody's life just yesterday. I will pray that they be O.K. As for the man driving that SUV on a suspended license, he should not of gotten hold of the keys in the first place. It is hard to imagine that he ran right into that bus despite the lady blowing the horn. In my o-pinion, I do not think the man should get his license back for a while. Maybe he should seek rehab somewhere to help with his drinking problem. Perhaps this man needs prayer seriously.
