A little girl attacked by a pit bull is out of the hospital. The dog attacked six-year old Elisa Fannin's face when she opened the door at friend's house to use the bathroom. Although she's bruised and swollen, her family says she looks like a miracle.
Despite her fast improvement, Fannin is at risk for complications. Her family says if tissue in her face dies, she will have to have to have more surgery.
The dog's owner, Ray Lane, and the woman keeping the dog when Elisa was attacked, Erica Cline, are charged with harboring a vicious animal.

PB - I'm sorry, but pits are not responsible for the most bites; they're just the ones you hear about or are reported. As for aggression, pits are about 12th on the list - guess what breed is #1 - the dauchshund! Please know we are not blaming the child, but the dog is not to blame as well. The dog was protecting its territory - NOT because it was stupid. The stupid ones are the owners. Dogs should be socialized and introduced to company, not locked in a bathroom. In addition, you NEVER leave a child alone with an animal. It's a shame the owners didn't know this. Pits, like any other breed, can be good dogs - it just takes a responsible pet owner.

pitbulls must be pretty stupid to think a child is a threat. Most species want to protect the young! Lets face it, Pitbulls are extremely dangerous!WE need to start banning them like other countries. Some of you people sound like you are trying to blame the little girl!

Barbara, for pete's sake, the poor little thing was only SIX yrs old and she had to go to the bathroom. Maybe her little friend told her where the bathroom was without understanding the danger or maybe she had been to the home before and went to the bathroom on her own. Who would expect an attack dog to be locked in the bathroom? I'm appalled that you're blaming this innocent child.
